
Bio
Itzel Marquez is a postdoctoral associate at the University of Arizona (UA) Water and Energy Sustainable Technology (WEST) Center. She received her PhD in Chemical Engineering from the UA where she developed mathematical models to predict the oxidation of Trace Organic Compounds in wastewater. She worked and done research in different processes and projects for wastewater treatment in the last 7 years. She has also worked as a college lecturer and has experience in the pharmaceutical and oil industries. In her spare time, Itzel likes running, biking and being outdoors. She also likes reading and watching independent movies and documentaries.
